Is HCDU Working For Anyone Lately?
I just tried to run the HCDU & it starts but just sits there.
After a couple minutes I have to close it out which gives me a "program not responding" message, blah, blah, blah. I tried re-downloading it & still no dice. This utility used to work just spiffy for me, so I was wondering if it's been acting up for anyone else recently? -ZW

Try as I might, I am unable to parse "HCDU." What is it?

SimWardrobe's Hack Conflict Detector Utility.
Just ran it with no problems, but I don't have BV, Teen Stuff, or FT. I also didn't write protect my Downloads folder. |

Strange.
It was working just spiffy as of February! I see that someone else just downloaded it & is also having problems with it, as per a post on the HCDU forum. (Right now, I'm still on an OFB install & my current Downloads folder is rather small & not write protected...) Hmmmm... -ZW ***UPDATE*** Curiouser & curiouser! The darn thing decided to work today with no problems whatsoever. grr...... OT: Miros, if memory serves you are an ACR user. I'm looking into an alternative to my beloved InTeen & was wondering if ACR allows for "risky" woohoo, or is "Try For Baby" the only way it will allow for pregnancies?

I tried the HCDU and it worked fine for me. I have all the EP's and etc.
I'm also an ACR user, and there is a risky pregnancy function. The default setting is 5%, but you can adjust it higher or down to nothing.

Teens and older can woohoo autonomously, but only adults get pregger. Yes, as Homerette sez, all woohoo involving a male and an adult female is risky, and configurable, both on a individual and neighborhood basis. You can even turn on a dialog, so you can see the % chance and the random number. I only use Try for Baby when my Sims get near "change of life" without kids.

Hmm. Sounds like a contender. I really like a "surprise" pregnancy element in my game!
If I understand the documentation correctly, I can set the "autonomous" levels on Hood-wide, Lot-wide or a Sim-by-Sim basis, right? (Just want to make sure I can have some element of control! I don't want all my Hoods to turn into brothels just yet!) I was considering just using SyperSpunk's Risky WooHoo (which I used before InTeen) but have to admit it might be nice if I didn't have to dictate all the romance for every Sim... -ZW

I use both ACR and Inteen, and I believe you can adjust the level of autonomy per Sim. Certain Sims will want to Woohoo more often than others (such as Romance Sims, and Family Sims aren't far behind I think), and there is also a Try For Baby percentage (Family Sims autonomously Try for Baby more often than others).

Exactly, Zirconia!
There's quite a bit of documentation with the mod, and you should at least skim it. |

At the extreme risk of sounding stupid...
At the extreme risk of sounding utterly the idiot, where does one download this ACR thing? InSimenator I have. I have little interest in InTeen (or whatever it's called) though.
However, HCDU does sound useful, especially if it helps one correct detected conflicts. |

ACR is available at TwoJeffs' new site. I believe the link is in a thread entitled "Changing of the guard at InTeen." I have important stuff in my clipboard at the moment or I'd look it up for you!
HCDU is available from SimWardrobe. |

Yeah, you definitely want HDCU. It tells you when two or more hacks are modifying the same script in the game. This does not always mean that there is a conflict but unless the hacks came from the same author, it's probably a problem.
