How Do I ID Things In SimPE???
(grumble grumble grrrrr......)
I am trying (desperately) to figure out what exactly some unidentified "alphabet soup" files in my Downloads folder are, & am having no luck. I have successfully moved a herd of "soup" files- that showed as having no category in Clean Installer- into their own folder & would now like to know how to tell what in the heck they are with SimPE. I can open them up just swell...but I have no idea whatintheheck to look for once they're open! Specifically, I want to know how to tell if the file in question is/is not a mesh. Any help would be very awesome!

The easy way is with Delphy's Download Organizer. You can actually just scan that one folder and it will tell you exactly what's in each file... Mesh, Clothing Recolor, Object Mesh, Object Recolor, Hack, etc.

It might help to look at the texture images in SimPE, though of course as Rose said, you can also view them with Delphy's thingie.

Delphy to the rescue: they were all either Meshes or Raw Sim Data files, so they get to live.
(I've got to spend less time dinking around & more time learning to use all these programs I download! Between SimPE, Delphy's Download Organizer & the Clean Installer, nothing should be impossible, as far as file management goes!)

But think of all the simple tasks you now know how to do...
