Indonesia Olympic Swimwear
..... Since my wife is Indonesian, thought I'd do this.
..... This a recolor of a very fine swimsuit by Sarkisssian at MTS2. It is modeled by my Ai Lan sim. Since this swimwear uses the standard Maxis mesh, nothing else is required. ..... These are my very first efforts at making clothes and I am very much a cringing amateur doing so. At least I can upload and share. Thanks again to Sarkaissian (who seems to have been inactive for a while... retired?). ..... Enjoy and let me know how you like. Dave |

Neat! I haven't tried in the game yet, but the screen shot looks good!

..... I do realise this item may have interest mainly to those who are Indonesian or have Indonesian ties. Just something different. ..... All of Sarkisssian's Olympic swimsuits can be found at: http://hideki.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=1143379 He/She made these suits more than 80 different countries so people could ID their sims' origin by having them wear the appropriate suit. There was no Indonesia swimsuit so it was up to me to make one. First try at making any clothing. Dave |

It might also be appealing to anyone who likes to have sims from all over the world. That seems to be a rather popular theme for populating neighborhoods.

Frustratingly, I can't seem to find the actual download thread on MTS2. What Dave referenced was the creator's profile, and the links there don't show the swimsuits. Will try again tomorrow or the next day. Right now, I'm in a bit too much discomfort. (Walked nearly 9 miles yesterday in just under 12 hours, and apparently injured my right hip somehow.)

There are 16 sets plus a "Sims2 Nation" set.

Promoting unity through swimwear!
(sounds even better than Peace Via Overwhelming Firepower)

Olympic Swimsuits, etc.
..... Thanks for all the kind comments. I really enjoyed making these to not only have an Indonesian suit, but to see I actually could do some recoloring to make something new. I am still a cringing amateur in all this regardless and whatever I do is going to have to be simple (mostly limitations by a very old graphics program). I made two more yesterday: Scotland and Europe.

Scotland? Hooray!
I was unaware that there was an emblem that identified all of Europe, but that just shows how little attention I pay to that sort of thing.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Is there flag for the EU?

..... I have many more friends and in-laws in SouthEast Asian countries and they just refer to them as ASEAN. Quick, easy. ..... Yes, there is a flag for the EEU. It is the Council of Europe flag, which was adopted as the flag of Europe. The Council of Europe dates from a few years after World War II and was the first organization promoting European Unity. I know this mainly because France issued stamps for the Council of Europe and I collect stamps. ..... I'm also considering NATO swimsuit (NATO has a flag). I've also considered suits for some "dead" countries that most people have never heard of (East Germany, Hatay, Tannu Touva, Manchukuo, etc.) that could be interesting. I'll post what I do later. Dave PS: Thanks for the tip on GIMP. Being kind of gimpy myself, it has a perfect fit that way. |

I have never tried it but I hear tell that folks have been hammering away at GIMP for quite a while, getting every closer to Photoshop in its capabilities.
