Default Steve's Weird House

Slowly now... deep breath. Got a firm grip on reality?

Well, prepare to lose it!

Gosh, to think I knew him when he only had two human skulls.

That was overwhelming to say the least. I wasn't even really there and I got claustrophobic. There are some very beautiful and odd things there. Neat!

How does he cook in that kitchen?

I shudder to think that what you see there might be the ingredients!

I sent a note to Steve to ask how he cooks in the kitchen, but it's fun to guess.

I think I spotted the essential equipment.

Just move some clutter out of they way and you're there!
Not entirely different from our kitchen!

Steve said that these pictures are about two years old. (Indeed, the site indicates that Bradford Bonner took the pictures in summer 2006.) There's even more stuff now, and the place is even more cluttered!

Does he actually allow tours? If I ever make it up to Seattle as a tourist, I'd definitely check it out!

I covet quite a few of those paintings and much of the statuary. It reminds me of several of the local antique shops actually.

I can't speak for Steve, Kaylynn, but I'll ask him!

Homerette, yeah, Steve mentioned that he's is more into antiques these days. Let's see... I first met him 1976, if I recall correctly, and he had a rather nice collection cluttering up his apartment then (including the skulls). So he has been working on that collection for at least 32 years!

Incidentally, if you ever run across a painting by Victoria Poyser of a wizard sitting on an ornate chair with his hands on two human skulls, that's Steve. He posed for the picture at his apartment.

Steve answered the question about cooking: "You can't really see the stovetop, and some counter space from the one kitchen camera viewpoint. Besides, the "cooking" I do is pretty simple, often involving just a microwave."
