Tutorial for object recoloring! Ping Zirconia!
Well, this is the one I learned from: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=102356
The one thing I'd warn you about is to click the pushpin in the Object Workshop window so it doesn't "sprong" closed on you inadvertently. A second warning: Register a user name at the SimPE site and use SimPE to log in with it. Then your username is added to the internal file names. Very important if you should ever need to prove something is "yours." Last edited by Miros1 : 04-12-2007 at 05:36 AM. |

Woohoo! Thanks for the link!
When I 1st snarffed up a copy of SimPE, I registered my user name (and reserved my "block" of codes) but that was before my computer upgrade. Is there a way to "re-find out" what my registed name/code blocks are? (I'm pretty sure I remember the name, but have now clue what my #s were!) -ZW

Using your username, you should be able to get your password from the site. Once you've got username and password, SimPE can get one of your codes when you make a clone and click the "Get Unique GUID" button.

Cool!
Okay, another question: will I need a GUID (or whatever)) code for things like skin tones & hair or are they just for new/relocored objects? -ZW

Just for new objects. Anything from BodyShop is GUID free. Recolors use the original's ID so the game can "hook" them together. You only use a GUID if you clone.

BTW, the MTS2 staff have done a great job of linking up assorted tutorials into a nice looking Wiki page.
