I think you have been very lucky and met good people in SL. But you come across stories of folks who meet in SL and go on to get together and maybe marry in RL, quite a lot. Have also met people who have left their RL spouse/family for someone they met in SL (as well as in ATITD - another MMO I used to play). That's quite controversial at the moment in this country - they call it cyberadultery :P
