Weird...I was just having a discussion about that the other day. We were talking about how a shadow should fall on an illustration I was working on and got into a discussion about the supposed "fake" moon landing pictures. Basically the thing about how shadows fall is really interesting. A person extects a shadow to fall at a 30 degree angle to the right when a direct lightsource coming from behind, top over and to the left (lefts suppose) and the claim that the pictures are fake because the the shadows are "wrong". I remembered an article about a guy who went to the desert with some type of powerful moveable lights and proved that the light source in a terrain can actually make a difference in how shadows fall and the result was similar to the landing pictures. I don't know if I explained that right, but it was a cool discussion.
