that old! My little sister had a baby seat but it wasn't for safety. It raised the baby up so that mom could get to her, and it kept her corralled. I don't think real child safety seats came out until about 1975.
Amusement: long ago, somebody did a survey where 95% of the respondents said that they were better-than-average drivers.
