Xpacks and Stuff Packs-install order?
 

I currently have Uni, NL and OFB installed, with no Stuff packs.
Can I install the H&M Stuff pack now, and then install Pets and Seasons at a later date? Or will that cause a problem with installing Pets and Seasons later?

I haven't heard any reports of problems due to weird install order.

When you do finally install Pets and Seasons, rename your My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 folder first to protect your 'hoods and downloads.

According to the H&M Stuff manual (yes, I broke down & got it..."Hello, my name is Zirconia Wolf, & I'm a, EP/SP-a-holic"...) it can be added at anytime, but if you have Pets (or a newer EP) you will use your current EP disk to play from.

Otherwise you will use H&M Fashions as your play disk. (Untill, of course, you get Pets or Seasons...)

(Never thought about renaming the folder! I just drag/copy stuff to my Desktop & make hood backups with SimPE first. Re-naming sounds alot easier!)

Just too many people have had their 'hoods trashed either during installation or during removal of an excessively buggy pack...

EA insists that the order of installation doesn't matter. I've never been adventurous enough (or patient enough) to test this myself.

I didn't think there would be a problem installing H&M before Pets & Seasons, but I wanted some other opinions. LOL
