Command to allow steeper lots

Whats that command that allows you to put lots on steeper terrain?

I messed up a neighborhood and want to use a 1x3 lot to smooth out the road, but right now the terrain is too steep in that area for me to do it.

Love Sita's cheat pages! http://www.simechoes.org/sims2/cheat...hbourhood.html

Actually, it's not a cheat... it's a hack that you download.

Aha! That at least lead me to the real answer! From this thread at MTS2:

What happens is the terrain doesn't get heavy modified (unless slope is more than 45 degrees) and lots are still placeable, as an added bonus the land gets more realistic smoothing.

Only 45 degrees??? Sheesh! The files at The Blarney Stone can do 50 or 89 right out of the gate!

Miros1 07-12-2007 07:40 PM

No, that's the "talus angle." That's how far it can slope before things start to deform. Greg's example allows lot placement on up to 70 degree slopes.

Oops. My bad.

Just out of curiosity, would there be any problems playing a lot that was set on an extreme slope? Or does the game not care? (I'm just trying to picture moving the camera around a house that's built on a 90 degree angle... )

Miros1 07-12-2007 10:42 PM

Sita had some nice houses built on a near cliff face at one time.

From what I've seen in DAoC and the game as it is, you can move the camera "into" the ground, but you get weird artifacts sometimes. Check out Greg's ancient in-game photo on the Hullabaloo taken from inside the gelatin...

Oh yes! The infamous Mystery View!
