User-Made Sims/Pets In Multiple Hoods?

I'll spare you the overly complicated details & try to get right to my main question:

Is it possible to have a User-Made Sim (or Pet to be specific) that is available for placement in all Neighborhoods & not just the one that I booted up CAS in?

We've been looking for a victim, er, willing experimenter for this!

If they're on a lot, you can package it, then unpack them with Clean Installer to the P001 folder. That should make the populated lot available in every 'hood...

I know you can package single Sims (from BS) and complete lots (from the game), but I'm not too sure if you can package a homeless family. I guess you'd need the "family" file and all the separate files for the family members, but I'm just guessing. Let me experiment a little...

Hey, that all sounds promising!

Another question: I've found that once placed the occupied lots (Katt & Kim) disapear from the bin completely, so you can only place them once & not once in each hood...but maybe this has something to do with Seasons? (Or maybe they aren't in the P001 bin... )

To add a little more detail to my original post, my "goal" is to create my own non-bugged (& not expecting pups) versions of Danny & Sarah Crittur, but for my perticulaur storyline I need them to show up in all hoods, like Cyd & Porthos do. I know it's possible to create "pet only" families in CAS, but they only show up in the bin of the hood I booted up CAS in.

Hmmmm...maybe if I could track down the "character" file(s), I could move them to wherever Cyd & Porthos' files are?

Cyd and Porthos should be in the P001 folder too.

I'm just not sure how to identify the appropriate files to add your own families!

Hmmmm...

Isn't there an option to package a family when in CAS? In theroy, if I knew what folder this package would be "unpacked" to- and made a note of what was in that folder before unpacking- wouldn't it be possible to find the right files? (Maybe I'm just wishfull thinking here... )

If it's possible to package a homeless family in CAS, you can simply open that file with CleanInstaller and install them wherever you chose by unchecking the "Default" checkbox and choosing "Browse" from the combobox/dropdown.

Remember, CleanInstaller is your friend!
