November '08 SP: Mansion & Garden Stuff

Looks like EA/Maxis has officially announced the last (?) Sims 2 Stuff Pack.

Entitled "Mansion & Garden Stuff", rather than more clothes (like most SPs have basically been an excuse for) this one is all about new garden & build mode options.

Snooty Sims links to some screen shots here:

Actually looks really nice IMHO & seems like a rather classy way to "end" the Sims 2 series.

Do the awesome psychic powers tell anyone else this?

Seriously... I kind of hope they have more harvestables for those of us with Seasons!

The problem with the last stuff pack is that everyone knows that as soon as The Sims 3 is released, the fans will flock to it and The Sims 2 will quickly become obsolete.

If there were some word that The Sims 3 could import neigborhoods and sims and clothes and things from The Sims 2, I would be much, much more excited about it.

I hope not! There's quite a large section of the community that refuses to get Sims 3.

I, however, am likely not one of those...but I probably won't be abandoning Sims 2 either! In fact, I've given serious thought to putting on the nostalgia goggles and reinstalling Sims 1...

Now, after a look at the pictures, I'm sold! :D

How much do you love this house?

Sheba would never forgive me if I didn't install it!

The roof is really cool!! Except for the roof and the windows up there I think I could build that house now.

That's the kind of roof that Charlie's mansion should have. :D

Well, my puter is surviving SecuROM so far, although I haven't tried burning a CD since installing, and I'm still rather uncertain about a copy protection scheme that has a grammar error in the freaking read me!

Greg 09-15-2008 08:21 PM

We can certainly hope that their programming is more meticulous than their grammar!

That house is pretty neat but it's a little scary looking.

Who is Charlie?

I wonder if they bothered to add that roof to the list of "walls" to prevent snowing inside for the people who have Seasons! Remember, the triangular walls for under peaked roofs let the snow come in, because the game doesn't recognize them as walls!

Given the variety of experiences people have had with SecuROM, I strongly doubt that!

Charlie is in another story over on Pearl Sims!

Yeah, we'd better leave any discussion of Charlie to the other site.

Coco go to the chateau. :)
