Dolly
 

Just so you can enjoy it, too: This afternoon, I looked out my office window and noticed that it was raining very hard outside. I pointed this out to a couple of other folks and they made appropriate gosh-it-sure-is-raining-hard noises.

A while later, I got a note from my boss asking me to put a note on his desk to tell him where and when a meeting would be. He said he would be back in time for it if his airplane wasn't delayed by Dolly.

For a while, I puzzled over who Dolly was and why she might delay his airplane? Dolly Parton, the singer, perhaps? Naw, she wouldn't fly on a commercial flight and if she did, they wouldn't be announcing it in advance. Then I thought to check weather.com.

And that is when I learned that a category 2 hurricane had come aground today on South Padre Island! :rofl:


More amusement: We had three power outages today at our house that I thought must have been somehow related to the hurricane. Nope. Melva said it was because they were putting in a new power pole.
