How do you...
...change the default skin tones? :help1:
The easiest way is, of course, to find a fan-created download that overrides the default skin tones and put them in your Downloads folder.
If you want to make your own replacement skin tones, that's a little trickier. You would need to:
In place of step 1, you can download Zirconia Wolf's "default.package" file that has the bits you need for default skins.
Lemme find you a link... http://www.sunsims.com/forums/showth...p?t=752&page=4 First part of tutorial with default package attached. The part about making default skins is a few posts farther down that thread. |
Thanks, Rose. That was a much more direct answer. I'm kind of distracted these days; too far from home, y'know.
And I'm sure the dogs are frantic.
Blame everything on the dogs; they can't type to defend themselves! |
Yeah how are the dogs doing? Did you say your sister has cats?
Yes, Jana has two cats. We brought 2 dogs. They tried to introduce them to each other, but the scrappiest of the two dogs would have none of it. So we keep them separated.
Aw thats a shame that they can't get along.
The good news is that might only be for a day or two more. There was a vague message from the city saying that the power was on "in most of the city." Unfortunately, that statement yields absolutely no useful information when the question is whether it's same to go home.
Thank you! What's all this about cats and dogs? :P
If you install the Pets expansion pack, your sims can have pets!!

Actually, the hurricane intruded on most of the threads. Not only was it raining cats and dogs, but they were squabbling inside as well!
Yup. Along about post #5 in this thread, we took a detour when Hurricane Ike escaped from the hurricane thread. Rose was referring to the fact that in the real world, we evacuated with our dogs to Jana's place in San Antonio.
The dogs didn't get along with the cats, so the poor cats (two large Siamese, brother and sister) got stuck living in Jana's bedroom for nearly two weeks. Our dogs are two long-haired dachshunds, one black, one red. They are sisters but their personalities are dramatically different. The brunette, Vienna, is very scrappy. The redhead, Artemis, is usually very placid and showing her middle-age spread. |
XD Those are some pretty awesome dachshdunds!
I've always wanted a dog. But my mother doesn't have the patience for one. :P |
Far be it from me to suggest things that might run afoul of a parent, but there's always the ploy of promising to take care of the dog yourself! It worked on me!
Trust me, I've tried EVERYTHING. Except for black mail. Hmmm...
Hmm... I suspect the long-term consequences of blackmailing your mother would not be positive. Just a hunch, y'know.
A friend of mine who's in an electric wheelchair used the "turn the wheelchair off in the middle of the pet store and refuse to turn it back on until she got a puppy" ploy.
Probably a limited-use ploy.
Yeah, hurting myself that badly isn't worth it.
