I wonder how this happened
|
That's a goodie!
I know you can have a random father by installing a family with a pregnant woman or pet. The installer just can't grasp that the woman or female pet contains the information about the parentage of her offspring and properly resolving it. There are various fixes for that problem, including 2Jeffs' parentagefix. Never heard of a random child tho! |
Look at it this way: what a great set-up for a story! ("Cindy never really fit in with the rest of her littermates..." )
What can I say, I have a bizzar imagination! |
I still can't figure out how a human baby ended up in a litter of puppies... That makes no sense whatsoever!
|
Zirconia that's the first thing I thought of, it would make for a great story!:p
|
It's good to know I'm not alone in my bizzarness! :)
(Miros has an interesting point though. I've seen the "missing Dad" thing but NEVER a "mystery child" in my game. Very strange indeed! ) |
I suspect it was a blooper from the early stages of the development of Pets. Rose mentioned that children actually have three parents, including one from the sim bin. It might have been that the code that makes sure that dogs only inherit genes from dogs had a bug in it.
Or... who knows? Maybe this is where werewolves come from! |
So that would be Romulus? Or is it young Remus?
Ah, we share 90 some percent of DNA any way, what's a hairy kid or two. |
This one I've found out... It's a product of using DeleteAllCharacters and not quitting the game to clean out the stray SDNA, SREL, SCDC, etc. resources.
|
You could force that "bug" for a really good Rome\Pompeii story line.
|
Right! Here we have Romulus, Remus, and Rover!
